I've been using content marketing effectively for a little over a year now. Content marketing really is where you need to be to grow any online business - it is SEO, Branding, Social Media, Email, and everything else inbound. If you are just getting started with content marketing - this book will walk you through the basics as well as the nitty gritty details. If you are a seasoned Content Marketer - this book will help you take it to the next level. Sujan and Rob have done an outstanding job of breaking down all of the core concepts of content marketing and making it easy to understand, easy to follow and easy to implement.

A Must-Have for Content Marketers at Any Level

Patel & Wormley’s Content Marketing Playbook is a win. I started this read with something less than enthusiasm: how much “content about content” can a marketer read in one lifetime? It turns out that this meta content is much better than what that I’ve read lately. The Content Marketing Playbook is a must-have on your marketing ebook shelf, both to read and to reference.
PROS:
Patel & Wormley do not spend chapter after chapter setting up a broad theory or beautiful metaphor to explain why marketers must engage in content marketing. (What a relief!) Instead, they get right to the point, taking the reader through the ins and outs of content marketing. The ebook is “of the moment”, drawing upon recently published blog posts and recommending best-in-class tools. The Content Marketing Playbook is useful in the way you want all marketing books to be.
CONS:
At a few points in the book, the narrative seems rushed compared to the full explanations elsewhere. Other sections seem overly reliant on sourced material, and I was left wanting more of the authors’ own voices. More editing is probably needed.
RECOMMENDED FOR:
Highly recommend the Content Marketing Playbook for anyone with some exposure to or interest in content marketing. For these readers, the book will be a fine but somewhat overwhelming introduction now and a superb resource as they gain experience. Also highly recommend the Content Marketing Playbook for anyone who has intermediate or higher experience in content marketing. For these readers, the book will reveal some unique techniques to exercise in their own marketing practices.

Sujan's books have transformed the way I do business. I run a couple eCommerce dropshipping sites and applied these strategies with great success.
Instead of paying $20,000 a month for Paid Traffic I invest $5,000 a month in content marketing to build my email list. Email converts 3x higher than paid traffic for us so it's a huge win! IF you are just starting this is great at covering the basics but I highly recommend this for the seasoned content marketer. You'll learn about new tools and tactics that will pay tenfold.
