A Fine Book

While this book is written in an old-fashioned style, it is made even more difficult to read due to the lack of care taken in creating this particular Kindle edition. There are words mistaken, sentences repeated, and, in some cases, the meaning is changed by the mistake. But this is a classic book, and will be a great help, especially in developing character, to anyone who wishes to do right. Remember, if you do not understand something, it may be that you have stumbled on a mistake made in the transference from paper to digital. You will do well not to let this distract you, but to make the extra effort, through context and investigation, to find the truth. As is the case in all endeavor.

Taken seriously, this book will change your life

Well articulated, gets to the heart of the issues that affect living prosperous lives.
This is not an '8 steps to prosperity' type book, rather a book that speaks to the essential four pillars, describing the characteristics and belief systems of those who hold to and, those who don't hold to each of the four pillars. It then explores a further four pillars that would significantly enhance the effectiveness of maintaining the essential four pillars.
You may need to look up a few words in your dictionary as some the the language used is not in common use today.
This book is now on my 'read at least once a year' list and this list is not very long. There are a number of profound realisations I encountered reading this book.
It's obvious the book was scanned in and converted to text. The proof reading is largely non-existant, as there numerous sentences that don't make sense without one doing a bit of mental gymnastics to figure out the original sentence.

Powerful and Astonishing Book

I was very shocked at the substance and powerful information contained in this book. Very practical and beautifully written. This book is a masterpiece, I will read it over and over again until it is engrained in my head. Repetition is the mother of all learning. Please do yourself a favor and buy this book right now, you will not regret it one bit.
2016 Update:
I just re-read this book and still managed to gain growth and wisdom from it. This book is a masterpiece, I personally feel that the material in this book is even more powerful than James Allen's famous work As a Man Thinketh. The lessons in this book are deep, penetrating, full of virtue and strength. A very manly book to pass off to your offsprings indeed, I know my son will certainly get a copy.
